Capcom Teams Up With JRPG Studio for "Truly Interesting Things"

Capcom has joined forces with JRPG and Professor Layton developer Story-5 for an "interesting" project.

Who doesn't Capcom team up-up with nowadays? After debut multiple collaborations at this year's Edo Game Show with studios such Eastern Samoa Ninja Theory (DmC), CyberConnect2 (Asura's Wrath), and From Software (Brand Battalion Kinect), it's also been unconcealed that the companionship has something secret in the workings with Level-5.

Level-5 is known for the Professor Layton series along with strange titles such as Dark Cloud, Draco Pursuance VIII, and the forthcoming Ninokuni. Its most recent acquittance outside of Japan was Dragon Quest IX.

A business data website recently posted an interview with Capcom's Keiji Inafune and Level-5's Akihiro Hino where the two reassert rumors that they're in cahoots, and IT was instigated by Capcom. Inafune said: "This rumor is genuine. Redress in real time, the two of the States, with our staff, are working put together on some truly interesting things. Even though Mister. Hino is jr., helium's soul I respect. I wanted to try working with him, so I contacted him."

That's all we bang, but I have tierce completely valid predictions active where this collaboration could go, aside from a brand new IP. First, Capcom's JRPG serial publication Breath of Fire has been wanting since Dragon Quarter came out in 2003, so it's mellow for the picking. A Mega Humanity Legends revival has been reported lately, and Level-5 would likely brawl a great job with that. Just the most prospective of possibilities would be, you guessed it, Tough vs. Professor Layton. After all, a true gentleman leaves no puzzle unsolved, and no fight unfinished.
